Early Life
Lindsey was born September 21, 1986, in Santa Ana California, daughter of Stephen and Diane Stirling. She was raised in Gilbert Arizona and attended Mesquite High School. As a child her family was not very wealthy, but Lindsey didn’t care and she learned that an old refrigerator box could be a spaceship, a tattered pink dress could be a ball gown, and eating cereal on the floor with her dad was quality time. |
Americas Got Talent
In 2010, Lindsey made it to the quarter finals of Americas Got Talent. It was then that the judges made their infamous remark, “you’re not good enough” and went on to compare her music to the sound of “rats being strangled”. Although it was one of her most embarrassing and humiliating moments, Lindsey pressed on with her dream. Without the backing of any record label, Lindsey put her video talents to work creating YouTube videos of her unique hip-hop dance violin style. Devin Graham was so impressed with her skills, he contacted her to collaborate on a video. The result was “Spontaneous Me” and helped catapult Stirling to YouTube stardom, where her videos would eventually become the highest earning videos in YouTube history. |
